THE FOUNDING OF BRICKBOTTOM

In the 1980s a group of artists came together in search of a stable and affordable working and living environment. After more than three years of planning, they purchased three semi-abandoned 1920s-era buildings in East Somerville, took up residence in 1988, and began to build a vibrant community. I am one of the 60 founding artists who will be in this show.

THE ART DRIVE - This Weekend!

The Art Drive is an Open Studio event in Westport and Dartmouth MA -  29 Artists invite you to visit their studios in the 2 adjacent towns.

I have signed up for an artist's talk.  Come discuss Abstract Art with me - Sunday at 11:00.

South Coast Artists Open Studios this Weekend 11am-5pm

This wonderful self directed tour through the beautiful south coast in MA and RI - WESTPORT, DARTMOUTH, TIVERTON AND LITTLE COMPTON is  on for this weekend 11-5.  I would love to have you visit!

I will be showing paintings and mono prints.

Somerville MA has a new museum! Check it out!

 I will be exhibiting at the Friend-Smithsonian Tiny Museum during the month of  November. This public art installation is attracting passersby at 135 Highland Ave.

Here are the creators of the Museum at the "Tiny Grand Opening" in October.  The Museum was made possible by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council.

The Blues are Back! Support the Art Drive and the Lloyd Center.

The e-bay auction is about to start - "Blew Bubbles" will be outside Partners Store in Westport From July25 - until the Art Drive open studios weekend August 6-7.  Then this Fish will be at My Studio- 511 Sanford Rd Westport, MA.

South Coast Open Studio Tour

My barn/studio at 511 Sanford Road, Westport, MA will be open from 11-5 during open studios. There are 60 artists to see in the 4 towns-come visit!

The Speed of Summer was awarded third prize in the annual SCA contest and can be seen in their brochure and banners!

A Connection at Atlantic Gallery, NYC July 12-30

I have been invited by Jeff Miller to exhibit in the small works show A Connection at Atlantic Gallery.  Jeff came to see my show at the  Marion Art Center and visited my studio to select pieces for the show.  Really looking forward to this!  If you are in the city, take a look!  Opening Thursday July 14 5-8pm.

PLEIN AIR FESTIVAL - CUTTYHUNK 2016

What a beautiful day! 40 painters, island ambassadors, welcoming residents.  I painted off a porch at The Roost looking down  towards the mainland.
